2. Description of Services
MAZE GEOANALYSIS provides geological, hydrogeological and cartographic assessment services, as well as interpretation of available data relating to a specific plot of land.
All services are provided remotely, without any physical visit to the customer's property.
Three types of assessments are available:
2.1. BUY
The purpose of the assessment is to provide the customer with a better understanding of the geological and hydrogeological context of a property before purchasing it.
The assessment may include:
the geological and hydrogeological context;
identifiable geological structures, faults and fractures;
potential groundwater flows;
potential areas requiring attention.
2.2. BUILD
The purpose of the assessment is to provide the customer with information to help understand the subsurface conditions of the property as part of a construction project.
The assessment may include:
geological structures within the subsurface;
potential faults and fractures;
groundwater flows;
the cartographic identification of a preliminary preferred building location, where the available data allow this to be determined.
2.3. DRILL
The purpose of the assessment is to identify areas potentially favorable to groundwater flows and to propose a preliminary borehole location.
The assessment may include:
analysis of the geological and hydrogeological context;
identification of potentially favorable geological structures and fractures;
analysis of groundwater flows;
identification of a potential target area and preliminary borehole location, where the available data allow this to be determined.
The services actually provided are those described on the relevant service page at the time of the order.
3. Nature and Limitations of the Assessments
MAZE GEOANALYSIS assessments are carried out remotely, based on information provided by the customer and available data relating to the property and its surrounding area.
The results constitute a preliminary assessment and decision-making aid.
They do not constitute a direct physical investigation of the subsurface and cannot guarantee:
the presence or absence of a water resource;
a specific water yield;
a precise depth;
the quality of a water resource;
the absence of geotechnical risks;
the stability of land or structures;
the granting of any administrative authorization;
compliance of a project with planning regulations or applicable standards.
For construction projects, the assessment does not replace a geotechnical investigation, legally required soil survey or any other investigation required by regulations or justified by the nature of the project.
For borehole projects, the assessment does not guarantee the success of the drilling operation or the actual volume or quality of water encountered.
The customer remains responsible for carrying out any studies, inspections, diagnostics and regulatory procedures required for their project.
4. Information Provided by the Customer
The customer agrees to provide accurate, complete and usable information necessary to carry out the assessment.
Depending on the service selected, this information may include:
the address or GPS coordinates of the property;
the cadastral plan or site plan;
available property-related documents;
information concerning the project;
any additional documents relevant to the assessment.
MAZE GEOANALYSIS cannot be held responsible for consequences resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information provided by the customer.
